Boxing Defence Techniques for Head Movement, Footwork and Ring Control

🥊Beginners should focus on maintaining defensive responsibility by keeping their hands up consistently. With boxing specific repetition and experience, head movement, footwork, slips, rolls and counter punching become more natural.

 

🥊 Cutting off ring stepping diagonally to apply pressure so the opponent cannot move away from freely.

🥊 Against southpaws, outside lead foot positioning helps create better counter punching angles and ring control.

🥊Don’t just circle one way. Mix your movement patterns to keep your opponent guessing. Use head movement, reactive footwork and angle changes so you are harder to time and easier to reposition for counters.
